Research shows that while confidence has grown for visitors to outdoor attractions, concerns remain about returning to those indoors. Understandable I guess, but what can indoor places to to help reassure their customers?
The ClearSight Recovery & Covid-19 report from BVA/BDRC shows that only one in five people feel comfortable visiting an indoor play centre, while 75% would visit a garden or country park.
And it's not just play centres, all indoor attractions are seeing much lower confidence rates than pre-Covid and with many now facing the uncomfortable prospect of another long-period of closure, this will do little to restore public confidence.
But what could you do to reassure customers that your place is safe? Here's five simple things to think about:
If you're closed, think about how you can use your social media to communicate and build relationships with your customers. Make them excited about coming back
Think about incentives to get people back and to attract new customers and keep promoting them. It doesn't have to cost a lot of money to achieve this
Be friendly, be helpful and most of all, be clear that your place is taking safety seriously, in every communication
Ensure your on-site signage is clear, but also reassuring. Think about how you can show customers that much of what they loved about you remains the same
Put customer service at the heart of what you do. Ensure your teams feel able to have great conversations and are empowered to provide the added value that can transform someone's visit from good to excellent
It's critical to invest in your customer service and effective communication strategies to support your attraction. I can help you think about what would most help to meet your post-Covid objectives. Get in touch and let's have a chat about it.
