Flag Fen Archaeological Park
Flag Fen in Cambridgeshire is part of a fascinating Bronze Age landscape and home to
a mysterious timber causeway and platform made by people 3,500 years ago. The park is steeped in pre-history having been revealed through archaeological digs in the 1970s.
The site has been open to the public for many years and has a unique opportunity to transform the experience on the back of delivering a long-term plan to preserve the fragile archaeology remaining on site.

I am undertaking audience research to sense-check the team's ambitions and to help frame the future offer. I am also evaluating the current experience which as well as the causeway, includes a visitor centre, museum, play area, round houses and a mock-up of an archaeological dig.

The aim is to design an experience that supports active archaeology, builds visitors numbers and drives income to support the site's long-term success.

The work will be completed in July 2025.
