Thorpe Hall - visitor attraction assessment
Sue Ryder owns Thorpe Hall, a beautiful Grade I Listed building in Peterborough. The hall was once a hospice and is surrounding by a stunning Grade II* Listed park and gardens which have historically been open to the public.

Having had many uses over the years since being built for Oliver Cromwell's Lord Chief Justice in the 17th Century, the house is falling into disrepair and Sue Ryder is keen to find a new use for the space which adjoins a relatively new hospice.

I conducted an assessment of the site to consider how the charity could use the building into the future, focusing specifically on its potential as a visitor attraction. The work explores what would need to be considered in repurposing the space for visitors, including operating models, income generation and visitors experience development.
