Yorkshire Wildlife Trust - Stirley
Stirley is a former dairy farm on the outskirts of Huddersfield, bought by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust in 2010 with a view to transforming it into a community farm. A garden, allotments and creative barn sit central to the offer which also includes offices and accommodation.
For a number of reasons, the site has lost its way and YWT wants to review its role and bring it back to life as a community hub. This includes understanding what it needs from Stirley, what people want to see there and exploring models to make it sustainable in the long-term.
I am working with them to develop options for the building, including producing a new business plan with objectives and KPIs to secure its future.
The work started in February 2023.
